SynergetiCoaching offers ADHD coaching to children, teens, young adults, adults,and whole family systems. Hazel's philosophy of ADHD coaching is based on a proactive model which works to break down large tasks into smaller tasks. Hazel believes that the client's education and understanding of ADHD and all its blessings is a cornerstone of the treatment model. She works closely with her clients to discover their strengths and creativity that might have been blocked or hidden in the past.
Hazel works in cooperation with her client's to discover systems that work. She relies on her training from Boston University School of Social Work to help her accurately assess the needs of the client and create a treatment model that complements her clients dreams, goals, and desires.individual desires.

What is ADHD coaching?
A coach is someone other than a parent or spouse who can help a peson get organized and sty on track. ADHD coaching touches on the major difficulties children, teens, and adults have in the Executive Functioning. These difficulties include organizing, planning, prioritizing, social skills, as well as initiating a task, and following through until completion. Lack of impoulse control, managmenet of emotions and impaired working memory are also areas where a coach and lient collaborate to find solutions.
What is the difference between coaching and psychology?
Coaches often work in conjunction with Psychiatrists and psychologists to complement their therapeutic model. The purpose of coaching is to help people learn new strategies to meet the challenges of daily living. The coach works with the client to learn how to break down large tasks and execute them. Coaching is a relationship between coach and client where they work together to discover the needs, interests, and optimal learning style of the client. Coaches work with people who want to make changes in their lives.
How Do Coaches Facilitate Change?
Coaches collaborate with their clients to identify areas for improvement and potential strategies for change. If the strategy is successful then it is important to understand the reasons. Likewise, if a strategy is ineffective, it is necessary to find out what is not working and make adjustments. Ongoing contact between meetings helps coaches and clients monitor progress via phone, email,and fax. This ongoing contact provides the client with support and increases the changes of success.
What is self-care/life balance?
Eating right, sleeping enough, exercise, all help to contribute to making healthy, and productive people. When eating, sleeping, exercise and other daily functions are in balance in our lives we accomplish more and feel better about ourselves. When you work with Hazel as a coach, achieving life-balance will be an important focus. Coaching allows the client to discover what works best for him or her. Are you are night person or a day person? What are your peak production hours? How do you get enough sleep, exercise, and eat right and get everything else done? These are important life-balance questions that Hazel will address in her coaching sessions with you.
What are Social Skills?
Social Skillls are a group. Working closely with her client's Hazel is able to support, add structure, and create better systems that a client will use. She believes that a cooperative effort between client and coach enhances the development of better and more strategic coping habits. As an ADHD Professional Hazel is well aware of the importance of her client's participation, input, emotions, and feelings throughout the coaching relationship. She respects their views and helps her client's find the systems and approaches that work best for their needs.
